Our Faith at Home
"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these".
Luke 18:16
Lent Homework 2024
At St Patrick's Catholic Primary School, we firmly believe that our children's families are "the principal and first educators of their children" (Cathechism of the Catholic Church). In that light we feel proud and privileged to have such a strong, trusting and loving partnership with our families. We work together to support and develop the mission of the Church through our school and seek to teach our children how to live holy lives. St Patrick's Catholic Primary Centre hold the child firmly at the centre of this partnership for, as taught and modelled by Jesus, they are at the heart of the kingdom of God.
Epiphany Homework Spring 2024
As a celebration of the New Year the whole school were asked to complete a special 'Epiphany' Homework task.

Living and Learning Challenges
Every half term we focus on one of our 'Living & Learning' Statements and the scripture that supports it. Our children are encouraged to discuss these and what they mean to them and their lives. Our 'Golden Jumpers' and 'Learning Certificates' are awarded each Friday to children who have displayed these qualities. At the start of each half term we share our 'Living & Learning' focus with parents via our Facebook page, school bulletin and provide further information in the form of guidance leaflets. These leaflets are sent home as family homework along with an activity that we encourage the family to complete together.

Diocese Advent Initiative
In response to Bishop Paul's Advent pastoral letter we were moved to share his invitation with our families. They were encouraged to prepare for Jesus' birth by making a crib, which could be placed at the centre of their homes during this season of joyful hope. We were overwhelmed with the response and are delighted to share their designs with you.
School Closure
During the recent school closures, due to COVID, we believed that is was really important, then more than ever, that whilst we were away from our school family, that we continue to celebrate and take comfort in the strong Catholic ethos that we at St Patrick's take pride in.
During these extremely worrying and most difficult of times for us all we still maintained our faith using our prayers, community and Church in a number of different ways. Visit the links and view the photos below for examples of how we encouraged our communities to come together during this challenging time.

Praying the Rosary
During our school closure our families were encouraged to send in prayers of hope to give our community strength. These were sent to Father Paul and were read during the live masses that he held for the community. It was important to us that we maintained our strong and special connection with our Church.
Lent & Easter Project
Cleator Moor COVID Response Team
Our children supported our local action group and provided messages of love, support and hope to our local care homes. These messages were included in hampers that the local community helped to prepare by donating items towards. We hoped that these messages would brighten up someone's day!
